• In February 2023, Titan Cement has acquired a shareholding in Aegean Perlites. The company mines perlite and pozzolan on Yali Island. It also owns port facilities. According to the Titan Group, it is investing in direct access to pozzolan reserves for volume growth of pozzolan-based cementitious products with a lower clinker factor. The deal is therefore more related to the intention of Titan to cut by 35% in 2030 versus 1990 levels of CO2 emissions and increase the share of green products in its portfolio to more than 50%.
