Xylitol market size was valued at US$ 701.5 million in 2023 and is poised to grow at a CAGR of 4.3% from 2024-2030.  Xylitol is a polyalcohol used as a low-calorie substitute for sugar and a food additive approved by FDA. Xylitol has a low glycemic index (GI) thus blood glucose or insulin spike in the blood is maintained. Other than that, in the prevention and treatment of Type 2 Diabetes also xylitol plays an important role. The popularity of low-calorie dental products like breath mints, mouthwash, and toothpaste; the substitution of sugar sweeteners by xylitol in cough syrups, chewable tablets, and lozenges are expected to drive.
